Founded by two recent alums, Maureen Gartner T’14 and Stephanie O’Brien T’14, Tuck’s new Initiative for Women provides opportunities for students, faculty and staff, and alumnae to connect around the important issues of gender dynamics and gender equality. Initiative programming will encourage open dialogue, fostering the academic, professional, and personal development of Tuck women.
The Initiative was founded on the belief that Tuck is, and can continue to be, the best place for a woman to obtain a graduate business education. At an institutional level, the Initiative represents an unprecedented level of support for gender equality at Tuck. During the 2014-2015 academic year, we began a “Women’s Voices” speaker series featuring alumnae, offered seminars with career advice, and connected students and alumnae in small group settings.
We have established a working committee comprising students, faculty, and staff that will help to determine the direction of the Initiative and ensure that it stays relevant to the needs of Tuck women, past and present.
